This page is to give up to date news of eye disease treatment, health issues and anything new at The English Optician . 03/12/09 New lens available for cataract patients allowing a surgeon to change your prescription after the operation as seen on Sky News today. A specialist implant lens is fitted in a normal cataract operation. After the eye has recovered from surgery, a beam of UV light is fired at the lens to change its shape and focus. I am trying to find out costs and availability in France, details to follow. 03/12/09 Price in the UK is approximately £1600.00 plus consultants fees.
